‍I came into this ready for an artsy horror film and somehow Green Room both dashed those expectations and didn’t disappoint all at the same time. A lofty feat for such a modest film.

‍Our four protagonists, optimistic and irresponsible, awaken in their van after it has come to an unplanned stop in a field. Their naive optimism eventually delivers them into a far more dangerous situation. Taking their hands off of the wheel they coast into a nazi punk venue hoping to make a few dollars to buy gas to get home.

‍And as things look worse and worse for our heroic rockers, we can’t help but wonder how many compromises will they have to make to escape this prison intact? And is it even possible.

‍Patrick Stewart’s, Darcy, the calm strategist, inspires more fear than any monster or scissor-handed dream invader. His supreme composure shows just how much more prepared he is for this scenario than the band could have ever been.

‍This is a super smart, small film that was likely overshadowed by the likes of Captain America and Jungle Boom. Highly recommend.
